Terms of Service

Agreement
These terms govern your use of Pmnts, an invoicing service for freelancers and small businesses available at pmnts.app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you're using Pmnts on behalf of a business, you're agreeing on that business's behalf.
The service
Pmnts lets you create invoices, send them by email with a PDF attached, share them by link, collect card payments through Stripe, and track what's been paid. The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it fast and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features may change over time.
Your account
You need an account to use Pmnts. Keep your credentials to yourself and give us accurate information — you're responsible for everything that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you believe someone else has accessed it.
Plans and billing
The Free plan includes unlimited invoices at no charge. The Pro plan costs $9 per month or $90 per year and is billed through Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your billing settings; Pro remains active until the end of the period you've paid for, and we don't issue partial refunds for unused time. If a renewal payment fails and isn't resolved, your account returns to the Free plan.
Payments from your clients
Online card payments run through your own Stripe account, under Stripe's terms. Payments go directly from your client to you — Pmnts is not a party to that transaction, doesn't hold your funds, and isn't responsible for disputes between you and your clients, including chargebacks and refunds.
Your content
The invoices, customer records, and business details you put into Pmnts are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run the service — for example, generating your PDFs and delivering your emails. You're responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of what you send, including any tax treatment on your invoices.
Acceptable use
Don't use Pmnts to send fraudulent or deceptive invoices, to spam, to break the law, or to interfere with the service or other users. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
Termination
You can stop using Pmnts and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, and will make reasonable efforts to warn you first unless the violation is serious.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Pmnts isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we'll give you notice — by email or in the app — before they take effect. Continuing to use Pmnts after that means you accept the updated terms.
